Travel writer John William Bills from Wales, during his visit to Breza, explored the site of the late antique basilica at Crkvina, the mosque in Podgora, the parish of Saint Barbara, the coal mine, and the excursion spot Hrasno.
History professor Semin Mamela gave the details of the rich cultural heritage and exploits of significant historical figures, among whom are the most famous Yugoslav coal miner Alija Sirotanović and the Illyrian warlord from the valley of the river Stavnja, Baton Dezitijatski.
